1st day of school

Wow! Its been a while since I have posted anything on my blog.  It's been crazy trying to get settled in and have time for things I like to do...like blogging.
Here's some cute pics of Jake's first day of school. He is doing wonderful and loves school.
In front of one of the murels they have painted throughout Jake's school. Really great art work on the walls!

Jake showing his new school clothes. So handsome

I love this picture. He asked if I would walk behind him so that he could feel like he was walking in alone. ...But he kept looking back to make sure I was there:)

Walking towards his class. I can't believe he is already in 1st grade. Feels like I was just rocking him in my arms.

In front of his 1st grade Ms. Purkey's homeroom.

At his desk....he's ready for school to start:)

LOL:) He was getting really sick of me taking his picture....haha
Yay! It makes my heart happy when my kids are happy:)

Our Summer

I can't believe that Jake starts school on Monday. So weird. He is going to his new school Lakeview Elementary.  It is a 100 year old school here in Sugar Land, it has a lot of history to it. It is a really nice school considering its age.  Jake is excited but a little nervous to go I think.  Wyatt wants to go to school really bad, but the preschools here in Texas are outrageously expensive! $400-500 a month, or more, depending on the preschool.  Seriously its like getting them prepped for college! So Wyatt's gonna stay with Momma during the day and we will do school here:)

I start my online courses again on Monday, which will be good, I am needing something to keep my mind off of Utah.  I miss my family so much...even though my little family is Ryan, Jake and Wyatt and they are everything to me, I miss the interaction with my sisters and mom and dad, and all of Ryan's family too...It's a hard thing to do, to move away and start a new life basically than what you have ever been used to.

Most of our days lately through this summer since we arrived in Texas have been spent swimming in our pool at our apartment complex...It's a beautiful pool, we love it, but it's so hot during the day, that we mostly go out around 7 or so after dinner because it cools off a few degrees.  We have started going to our church, which has been wonderful for us.....Our ward is full of really nice and helpful people, and the boys love going.....We have found the local library, and I love it there, and so do the boys...it's fun to let them explore and read the fun books.  We have been exploring our new surroundings, and there is soooooo much to do around here, it's just too hot to do it during the day! It's really strange for me not having mountains, and I get turned around really easy, not knowing which direction I am going, because I really relied on those beautiful mountains! haha but seriously I am kinda scared to drive further than I am used to without Ryan cuz if I get lost, I have no one to retrieve me cuz Ryan is 45 minutes away, and I think he would be pretty upset if  he had to leave school to come find me....haha so I stay pretty close to my apartments...for now...

Ryan has started school and is loving it so far, it's a pretty hectic schedule, and he is extremely busy with the homework, and the hours he is in class...but it will be worth it:) Well, I am gonna post some cute pictures, I have been terrible at updating this blog, and I have no idea if anyone even reads it or looks at it, but if you do I hope you enjoy these pictures!
Jake & Wyatt all ready for church!

Jake getting his back to school haircut

Wyatt had to get his "back to school" haircut too!

All my boys playing Legos...

Washable paint is a wonderful thing...keeps busy boys, busy with something productive:)

We found our local library and have been loving going and reading the books, and all the fun activities

I got bored one day, so I made this wreath for my door....

We made it!

We are here! We made it to Sugar Land Texas, which is where we will call home for the next few years.  Ryan starts school on Monday, and we have been really really busy getting everything set up here as far as our apartment, and getting everything done to register Jake into first grade....He is really excited to meet new friends:)  We got our apartment set up finally, which is nice, it's our little haven from the heat. It has been a steady 101 degrees since we arrived and with the humidity it feels more like 120 degrees!

Well this is a shorter post, but heres a few pictures of our apartment. Love and Miss all our family and friends!

Busy Busy

We have been sooo sooo busy around my house! With getting ready to move to Texas, which we are going to be living in a suburb called Sugar Land, which so far seems to be a great place to live if you are going to live in Texas...anyway, and with me going to school, Ryan getting ready to attend Law school, Jake getting ready to graduate from Kindergarten, and Wyatt growing up and becoming his own little person, we are pooped!! Heres some cute pictures....

Jake at the safe kids fair

Jake got to meet McGruff the crime dog at the safe kids fair, Wyatt wouldn't go, he wanted to stay with daddy so just me and Jake went. We had fun:)

Wyatt being goofy...He is a crackup! He found these goggles and put them on, we were laughing so hard!

Wyatt at the treehouse museum..his favorite place to be!!
I say this in a good way though, it's nice to be busy in some ways, keeps my mind off having to move away, but I haven't had time for myself in...well, quite a while. I have either been studying, or doing homework, helping Jake with homework or soccer, helping Wyatt with all his projects, and just being a mom and wife. It can take it out of you! I wanted to take a minute to update the blog, I think this is the first "free" moment I have had all day:)

Gotta play with and in the big machines...

What big helpers

Wyatt raking the gravel

Wyatt had to be in on the action

Jake had to help too!

A little boys dream machine!
Ryan has been helping his dad pour new concrete at his house, and as you can probably guess Jake and Wyatt have been right there with him...Here are a few cute pictures of them working along side daddy...
As for me, I have been keeping busy with school, it is taking most of my spare time and then some. I enjoy it, but I haven't gotten into a routine yet...hopefully soon...

Mother's Day

In honor of Mother's Day, I wanted to share a little about the two women in my life that I call Mom....First is my Mom Janet...I love this woman more than I can tell you...She has been my rock my whole life, whenever I need her she is there..boy am I gonna miss her when we move.....I cry as I write this because this will be one of the hardest things I have ever done is leave my family.  But....we will be home soon, I remind myself of this each day as I prepare myself to move out of this beautiful state of Utah.  She was a Registered Nurse during her career, and she always took more care of everyone else but herself.. she is a selfless person, one who has devoted her love and energy to caring for others. She has been an example to me my whole life and I love her beyond words! I am honored to call her Mom....I love you mom:) Happy Mother's Day!

Now for my mother in law Diane, talk about an example of love and laughter...This woman is so much fun! She has become to mean so much to me in the years that I have been married to her son Ryan, she is just as
I said my second Mom...I call her Mom, but so much more I call her friend, and she is a wonderful Grandma to my two little boys...She is always there to lend a hand, or a shoulder should you need it....I love you Di! Happy Mother's Day! You mean the world to me!

Back to school for me...

Hmmm..this is going to be a little harder than I anticipated....school...I am excited to get this going, but looking at the content for these classes has me...well...a little intimidated.  Ryan says "you'll be fine."  Okay I know that I won't be physically harmed in the adventure of school, but what about mentally??? I already feel like I am losing it....kids screaming in the background, me trying to read some article for some history class, and then having to write a paper about what????? oh dear.....wish me luck:)

Oh yea, and right in the middle of actually submitting one of my assignments, that I actually understood, and accomplished, Wyatt unplugs my computer:(    I lost everything I had just done, and had to redo it........let's just say that wasn't my proudest moment...me crying, trying to get the computer back to where I had it, with the assignment on the screen ready to be turned in....Wyatt crying because the horrified NOOOOO!!!!!!!! I let slip outta my mouth probably scared him to death!.....not a pretty morning.....but after some hugs from mom and a lesson about not unplugging mommy's computer, Wyatt was on his way...no harm no foul.....he got his legos and trucks and was on his way to play.

Me on the other hand, well let's just say I continued to have some tears as I rewrote my assignment....but all is well now....I hope I can do this:)...
