Jake's 7th birthday....

My sweet 7 year old Jake. Love this boy so much!

Jake loves loves loves the Denver Broncos...so he requested a broncos cake....darn squeeze tube of writing gel was messed up...so that is why the writing looks so goofy..oh well..Jake loved it:)

He was one happy kid with this cake...

Present time..this present he is holding is a fishing pole..Jake is really into fishing with his daddy and brother Wyatt

Aunt Mandy gave Jake Bronco sunglasses for his birthday..he wears them everywhere we go. So cute!

Mom and Wyatt surprised Jake with balloons as he got off the bus....his comment to me was "MOM! You are humiliating me!!!" But I think he secretly loved it:)

cake and present time..Wyatt couldn't wait to get his hands on that cake!

Too cool....

Wyatt looks extremely bored here, but he was having so much fun. He loved Jake's birthday almost as much as Jake!~

loving opening his gifts

Both boys got a fishing pole...

Cutest 7 year old I know:) Love you Jake!
Jake is now 7!!! Wow...where did that time go? I love this little boy so much. He and his brother are the light of my life. Jake has always been the funniest kid...I don't know where he comes up with some of the things he says...I love you Jake and you make me so proud each and every day.

The happenings around this part of the world.

I took the boys to see the movie "Smurfs" Such a cute movie the boys loved it:)

Loving the movie

The armadillo we would see almost every morning when we were taking Jake to the bus stop! We had never seen an armadillo before!!

Wyatt sacked out! He never has naps anymore so this shocked me when I looked over and he was snoozing....it was a nice break for me though!

The boys talked me into an ice cream one afternoon when we went grocery shopping.....like it was really hard to break me down on that one! It's so hot here, we practically live on otter pops!

One of Wyatt's creations....he comes up with the funniest stuff

Waiting for the bus at Jake's bus stop....aren't the palm trees gorgeous! Jake said when we first arrived here in Texas that they weren't real but fake....he now knows they are definitely real...LOL

We live right by this 100+ year old Sugar refinery. This is where Sugar Land get's it's name from. They used to process the sugar here. Neat building.

On our way to the bus stop

Catchin some rays at the pool!

I think Jake is part fish...he loves the water and is becoming a great swimmer..

They would be in the pool every minute if I would let them!!!

I love these two boys so much..they are the funnest and cutest kids

Jake loves to go under the water now, and Wyatt tries but isn't quite brave enough yet...
So many things to post on the blog. We have been having fun here in Sugar Land. What an awesome place! I miss Utah a lot, but I don't think I could've picked a better place to live for the next few years.  We have met some nice people. Here's some pictures.....

1st day of school

Wow! Its been a while since I have posted anything on my blog.  It's been crazy trying to get settled in and have time for things I like to do...like blogging.
Here's some cute pics of Jake's first day of school. He is doing wonderful and loves school.
In front of one of the murels they have painted throughout Jake's school. Really great art work on the walls!

Jake showing his new school clothes. So handsome

I love this picture. He asked if I would walk behind him so that he could feel like he was walking in alone. ...But he kept looking back to make sure I was there:)

Walking towards his class. I can't believe he is already in 1st grade. Feels like I was just rocking him in my arms.

In front of his 1st grade Ms. Purkey's homeroom.

At his desk....he's ready for school to start:)

LOL:) He was getting really sick of me taking his picture....haha
Yay! It makes my heart happy when my kids are happy:)

Our Summer

I can't believe that Jake starts school on Monday. So weird. He is going to his new school Lakeview Elementary.  It is a 100 year old school here in Sugar Land, it has a lot of history to it. It is a really nice school considering its age.  Jake is excited but a little nervous to go I think.  Wyatt wants to go to school really bad, but the preschools here in Texas are outrageously expensive! $400-500 a month, or more, depending on the preschool.  Seriously its like getting them prepped for college! So Wyatt's gonna stay with Momma during the day and we will do school here:)

I start my online courses again on Monday, which will be good, I am needing something to keep my mind off of Utah.  I miss my family so much...even though my little family is Ryan, Jake and Wyatt and they are everything to me, I miss the interaction with my sisters and mom and dad, and all of Ryan's family too...It's a hard thing to do, to move away and start a new life basically than what you have ever been used to.

Most of our days lately through this summer since we arrived in Texas have been spent swimming in our pool at our apartment complex...It's a beautiful pool, we love it, but it's so hot during the day, that we mostly go out around 7 or so after dinner because it cools off a few degrees.  We have started going to our church, which has been wonderful for us.....Our ward is full of really nice and helpful people, and the boys love going.....We have found the local library, and I love it there, and so do the boys...it's fun to let them explore and read the fun books.  We have been exploring our new surroundings, and there is soooooo much to do around here, it's just too hot to do it during the day! It's really strange for me not having mountains, and I get turned around really easy, not knowing which direction I am going, because I really relied on those beautiful mountains! haha but seriously I am kinda scared to drive further than I am used to without Ryan cuz if I get lost, I have no one to retrieve me cuz Ryan is 45 minutes away, and I think he would be pretty upset if  he had to leave school to come find me....haha so I stay pretty close to my apartments...for now...

Ryan has started school and is loving it so far, it's a pretty hectic schedule, and he is extremely busy with the homework, and the hours he is in class...but it will be worth it:) Well, I am gonna post some cute pictures, I have been terrible at updating this blog, and I have no idea if anyone even reads it or looks at it, but if you do I hope you enjoy these pictures!
Jake & Wyatt all ready for church!

Jake and Wyatt outside of Jake's new school Lakeview Elementary

My sweet boys outside Jakes new school he's going to 1st grade:)

Jake getting his back to school haircut

Wyatt had to get his "back to school" haircut too!

All my boys playing Legos...

Washable paint is a wonderful thing...keeps busy boys, busy with something productive:)

We found our local library and have been loving going and reading the books, and all the fun activities

I got bored one day, so I made this wreath for my door....

We made it!

We are here! We made it to Sugar Land Texas, which is where we will call home for the next few years.  Ryan starts school on Monday, and we have been really really busy getting everything set up here as far as our apartment, and getting everything done to register Jake into first grade....He is really excited to meet new friends:)  We got our apartment set up finally, which is nice, it's our little haven from the heat. It has been a steady 101 degrees since we arrived and with the humidity it feels more like 120 degrees!

Well this is a shorter post, but heres a few pictures of our apartment. Love and Miss all our family and friends!
